Showcase Artistry Studio Policy

General

  • Verbal or written notice must be given at least 24 hours before scheduled lesson or full lesson payment will apply.

  • Cancellations due to teacher absence will not be charged and any invoice paid for that lesson will be credited towards next lesson.

  • The teacher will not be liable or responsible for any injuries by any person or student, whether the student takes in person or online lessons.

  • Students are expected to be punctual for all scheduled sessions. In the event of late arrivals, an extension of time will not be granted and the set lesson will cease at the scheduled time.

  • If invoices are unpaid at the time the date of the invoice is due, the lesson and any further lessons will be cancelled until payment is up to date. If there are continuous instances of unpaid or late invoices, students will be withdrawn from enrolment.

  • If you receive advice from the teacher and choose to go against it, the teacher is not responsible for the consequences.

  • Students are expected to act in a respectful manner towards the teacher. Failure to do so will result in withdrawal from enrolment.

  • Students may be withdrawn from enrolment at any time at the discretion of the teacher if they are deemed an unfit student.

  • New students are entitled to one 30 minute free trial lesson. If missed without 24 hours notice, this will not be made up.

Performing Arts Specific

  • Students must have been learning for a minimum of 10 lessons before being considered to compete, sit an exam, or perform as a student of Showcase Artistry. This ensures students will be adequately prepared. School performances or entries in competition under a school do not apply.

  • Permission to compete or perform as a student of Showcase Artistry is subject to teacher approval.

  • Any costumes or props hired will need to be returned in pristine condition. Any materials deemed not up to standard, an invoice will be sent for. Failure to pay the invoice will result in withdrawal from enrolment and inability to enrol until paid.

Visual Arts Specific

  • Any damages caused by students will be invoiced at the discretion of the teacher. If issued, failure to pay the invoice will result in withdrawal from enrolment and inability to enrol until paid.
